The first step in the six stages is Understanding the task. This involves understanding the assignment which means you either have to read it or create it. The next step is called Gathering the Data and this deals with retrieving information from texts, magazines, or from online. Step three is Invention and in this stage you define what you are going to write about. It can also be called "brainstorming" or "predrafting". Step four is Drafting, it's where you sketch out your paper, and results in a complete rough draft. Step five is Revision and it's a two step process where you look at your draft at a global and local level making sure everything is coherent and unified. The last step is Editing and this step deals with editing at the setence level, making sure grammar, punctuation, usage, and spelling are all correct.
The writing style that I was taught is very similiar to these six steps. I always had to think about the assignment and what the main question was. Then gathering data is the big part that seemed to take the longest for me,but were the easiest part in the whole writing processed. The hardest step for me is the editing process. The only part that is different in the six steps is that the revision process was not as big as in is the six steps.

about me
I would like to think of myself as an intersting person. I am a person with a unique family, variety of skills, and a strong set of goals for the future. My family lives only twenty-five minutes away from Olivet in a town called Monee. We have only moved twice, but have always stayed the town limits. There are seven children in my family, with me being the second oldest. Three of my sibling are adopted from China and it has been a great joy and blessing having them be a part of our family. Besides having a unique family, I have a variety of different skills. I currently am on the soccer team here at Olivet. I have enjoyed playing the beautiful game ever since I was young. Another thing I love to do is hunt white tail deer with a bow. This is a very difficult hobby that takes a tremendous amount of practice and stealth. The last thing I would like to include in this synopsis about myself is the goals that I have set for the future. Over the next four years here at Olivet I plan to get a degree in nursing. Once this is completed the next step is to get two years of experience in the ICU of some hospital. After the two years the goal is the get accepted into an anesthesiology program and become a nurse anesthetist.
